SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY CATEGORIES

Full Scholarship Eligibility (Most Vulnerable)

Applicants must meet at least two or more of the following criteria:

1. Extreme Financial Hardship – Household income is below 200,000 UGX per month.
2. Single Mothers or Primary Caregivers – Sole providers for children or dependents.
3. Orphans or Abandoned Individuals – Without parental or family support.
4. Persons with Disabilities or Chronic Illnesses – Health conditions that limit earning capacity.
5. Survivors of Domestic Violence or Abuse – Lacking financial stability.
6. Displaced or Homeless Persons – Refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), or without stable housing.
   
   

50% Scholarship Eligibility (Moderate Vulnerability)

Applicants must meet at least two of the following criteria:

1. Low-Income Earners – Household income between 200,000 UGX – 500,000 UGX per month.
2. Women Supporting Large Families – Caring for three or more dependents.
3. Women Facing Temporary Hardship – Recently lost employment, a spouse, or financial provider.
4. Women from Underserved Rural Areas – Limited economic opportunities.
5. Young Women (18-25) with No Financial Support – No parental or guardian assistance.
6. Small Business Owners with Limited Revenue – Running micro-businesses with unstable income.

Paying Students

Students who do not meet the above criteria are expected to pay the full program cost of 2.5M UGX. This category includes:

• Individuals with stable household income above 500,000 UGX per month.
• Those with access to financial support from family, employment, or personal savings.
• Entrepreneurs or individuals with sufficient financial capacity.

Paying students contribute to sustaining the program and enabling more vulnerable women to receive scholarships.
